Wall Murals

Quality & Care

How good is the Print Quality?
All our murals are printed using high quality inks to produce the most amazing colours. We only use the highest quality images in order to create the very best murals.

What is the material you use for your wall murals?
We use the Market Leading material, specifically design for producing wall murals. The material is 410gsm thick with a textured finish that is durable and wipeable. Our murals are also Fire Rated for both Commercial and Residential use.

What will the joints look like?
We only produce murals to our high standards, using the best possible jointing method. This consists of a double cut through joining technique. Simply speaking, each joint is carefully tailored in situ on the wall, allowing for a seamless join with no messy overlaps. Also, as our murals are made from double width material, this means half the number of joints are required, compared by conventional wallpapers and many other sub standard murals.

Can I clean / wipe the wall mural?
Yes you can. However we advise not to use abrasive cleaning products as this will affect the inks. Instead you should use water and a soft cloth to dab the wallpaper clean.

How do I take care of my wall mural?
It's easy really, just common sense. Treat your mural with respect, don't scuff or damage the surface or clean with abrasive products. Lightly dust or dab with a damp cloth to clean.

Can I fit my mural outside?
No we do not recommend this. Our wall murals are for indoor use only.

Sizes

What sizes of wall murals do you offer?
How big do you need? We can produce a wall mural to any size really. Just like wallpaper can cover a wall, we can produce a mural to cover your wall (the only limit is the quality of the original mural image). We can enlarge digital pictures several hundred times while maintaining the original image quality, but there is a limit (specific to your image) which we will advise you on.

Can you resize my picture to fit my wall size?
Well it really depends on the quality of your original picture. If the quality is reasonable then generally speaking, yes we can enlarge it to mural size (see image questions).

Cost & Payment

There are no hidden agreements and you do not have to commence with an order.

Images

What quality does my photo need to be for wall mural printing?
This is important. The image quality really needs to be as high as possible, we ideally need an image of a minimum 150dpi and as large as possible - (see question What is dpi? for further details on dpi). When creating wall murals we may need to enlarge your photo to many times it's original size. Our in-house team can handle this, but the quality of the original photo will limit the size of mural we can create. If you are unsure about the quality of your photo you can easily upload it using our FREE Wall mural preview service. Our team will examine your photo to determine if the quality is sufficient. We will contact you with our findings.

What is dpi?
dpi stands for Dots Per Inch, and is an indication of how much information is present in an image. The higher the dpi the better, it is not possible to produce detailed mural prints from images smaller than 75dpi. Ideally we would ask for a minimum of 150dpi, however it does all depend on the size of the mural you would need. If you are unsure about the quality of your photo you can easily upload it using our FREE Wall mural preview service. Our team will examine your photo to determine if the quality is sufficient. We will contact you with our findings.

What about copyright photos?
If you have taken the photo yourself, this does not necessarily mean you are allowed to use the photo for printing. For example you can take a picture of a company logo, but that doesn't mean you can print it without permission. When using an image which is not yours, you must have the permission of the copyright owner before you can use it. By sending an image to us you confirm you have permission to use the image from the copyright owner.

What image format can I send you?
We accept a variety of image formats .jpg, tiff . psd, gif, etc... Pretty much all formats are OK with us. The main factor is the image quality - see What is dpi? question above.

Do you have any pictures I can use for my wall mural?
Yes we do! We have some fantastic pictures, ideal for wall mural printing, and you can use any of them for your mural at no extra cost. Take a look through our wall mural products pages to view a variety of our favourite mural pictures.

NOTE: If you can't find an image you would like to use, simply complete our FREE Wall mural preview form and we will be more than happy to assist in finding an image to suit your needs.

Can you create a wall mural from my standard photograph?
Yes we can, but it does depend on the quality of your photo and the size of mural you require. If your photo is of reasonable quality you can send it to us and we will take care of the rest. You can either scan it (at the highest quality possible) and upload this to us with our FREE mural preview form, or post the original photograph to us, see contact us(link to page). Our team will examine your photo to determine if the quality is sufficient. We will contact you with our findings.

NOTE: Please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope if you would like us to return your photos.

Order

How can I make an order?
As each mural is custom made for every client, our team will work out a price specific for you. To view our mural range please visit our wall mural products page. With each mural you can enter the measurements of your wall and any further details in the form provided. We will then determine the price specific to your wall and contact you. There is no obligation to buy and many new clients find our FREE Wall mural preview service very useful to gain a realistic view of what their chosen design of mural will look like on their wall.

How long will my order take?
Once we have received payment and the funds have cleared we will commence with your order. From the date your payment has cleared we aim to complete orders within 7-10 working days. Although it could be sooner, but we will contact you to let you know the expected delivery date.

Do you accept international orders?
Yes we do, at a nominal extra postage cost. We will determine the additional postage cost for your order and add this to your quotation before commencing with an order.

Fitting

How does the Mural fit to my wall?
We recommend using a competent professional wallpaper fitter who has experience with splice (double cut) jointing of wallpapers. All our wall murals are supplied in double width 1.2M wide strips for minimum joints and fitting instructions are included. We recommend using a strong premixed paste and to paste the wall (not the mural). The mural is hung in strips which each fit side by side to create the mural. Each strip overlaps by about 1inch and needs splicing (double cutting) to produce a perfect joint.

Can you fit my mural for me?
Yes of course we can, many other companies do not offer this service. Just select yes under fitting service when you select a mural from our wall mural products pages, and we will provide a separate fitting cost for you.

Can I fit my Mural by myself?
We do not recommend attempting to hang a mural by yourself, unless you are a professional decorator. We advise you to seek assistance from a professional, or simply ask us and we can include fitting in the price of your mural.

Delivery

How much is delivery?
Standard delivery for wall murals is charged at £9.50. This is a fixed price so this is all you will pay even on bulk orders.

What if I ordered more than one Wall Mural?
The delivery price is fixed. So no matter how many wall murals you order, if they are ordered together and delivered to the same address you will only pay for one delivery cost.

How long will my order take?
Once we have received payment and the funds have cleared we will commence with your order. From the date your payment has cleared we aim to complete orders within 7-10 working days. Although it could be sooner, but we will contact you to let you know the expected delivery date.

How will my mural be packaged?
We carefully hand roll each wall mural and package into strong cardboard tubes with bubble wrap for posting. Your custom mural should be delivered to your door safe and sound.

Can I arrange delivery to a different address?
Certainly. You can specify the delivery address in your order. Once you have added all the items to your shopping basket you will be asked to confirm your delivery and billing addresses at the next stage, which can be altered as desired.

Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes we can do, with a nominal extra delivery charge. We will determine the additional postage cost for your order and add this to your quotation.

Canvas

Quality & Care

How good is the Print Quality?
All our canvas prints are produced using state of the art high resolution printers. We use 12 separate light fast inks which produce the most amazing quality prints which are rated to last for up to 200 years without fading.

What is the Canvas material you use?
We use 100% cotton canvas material with the highest anti-crack properties. This provides the best canvas texture and is stunning when printed with our quality inks (see question How good is the Print Quality? for more details). We also offer extra protection to our canvases with a matt or glossy coating (see question What is the protective coating? for more details)

Will your canvas crack around the frame?
No, our canvases are made from the highest grade materials with the highest quality inks, offering the most crack resistant properties. We are confident in the quality of our canvases and believe you will not be able to find a better canvas at the prices we offer.

How do I take care of my canvas?
Just follow the guidelines we provide with each canvas, it's easy really, just common sense. Don't hang your canvas in a place where it is likely to be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or sunlight. Dust your canvas with a light soft cloth and don't use cleaning products. For extra protection we can cover your canvas with a matt or gloss coating, and we will include a LIFETIME GUARANTEE against fading if you choose this.

What is the protective coating?
This will add a water and dirt resistant layer of protection to your canvas. This also protects against scuffs and scratches, as well as offering further UV (Ultra Violet) light protection against fading. We advise to use the matt finish on photographic canvases and consider the gloss finish for a more oil painting finish. We will include a LIFETIME GUARANTEE against fading if you choose to coat your canvas.

How long will my canvas last?
Years and years! Our canvases are printed using the latest technology printers and inks which have been rated to last for up to 200years. We are so confident in the quality of our canvases that we offer a LIFETIME GUARANTEE against colour fading for all canvases when protected with our matt or gloss coating (see question What is the protective coating? for more details). Simply treat your canvas correctly (as explained in the care guide we provide with your canvas) and you will enjoy the benefits for a lifetime.

What type of frame do you use with your canvases?
The best! All our frames are made from high quality wood for a light, strong frame that will not bend or warp. We use thick 1.5inch deep gallery style stretcher bars with strong plastic tensioning wedges (see question What are tension wedges? for more details).

What are tension wedges?
These are small wedges used in the framing of professionally made stretched canvases. They are placed in the back of each canvas frame in the four corners. Over time any canvas can loosen slightly (this is usual and mainly due to humidity). In poorly made frames, the only way to rectify this is to completely reframe the canvas. With professional stretcher frames like ours, the tension wedges are used to re-tension the canvas. Simply knock the wedges a little into each corner and the canvas will tighten again, simple yet very effective.

Can I hang my canvas outside?
No we do not recommend this. Canvases are for indoor use only.

Sizes

What sizes of canvas do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of shapes and sizes, including square, rectangular, panoramic and multiple tiled canvases. See our prices page for a full list of sizes and prices.

Can you resize my picture to fit any canvas size?
Generally speaking, yes we can. However it does depend on the image quality of your original picture (see image questions). If you are unsure about the quality of your picture you can easily upload it using our FREE Your Photo on Canvas form. Our team will examine your photo to determine if the quality is sufficient. We will contact you with our findings.

Can you print my picture over several canvases?
Yes! This is a great way to display your pictures. We can print over several canvases so when each canvas is mounted side by side your full picture is created. You could use two canvases, three, maybe four or more; it really is up to you. Please contanct us with your request for printing on multiple canvases and we will get back to you with a price.
